Direct to Film or DTF is a process that prints a design on a film that you are then able to transfer onto fabric or other substrates. DTF sheets can be applied to cotton, polyester, synthetic, or silk without any trouble. No limits on colors and no minimum order size required.

A screen printed transfer (also known as a plastisol ink transfer) is your designed image which has been screen printed onto release paper instead of being directly screen printed onto fabric.

The design is then applied to fabrics with an industrial heat press machine giving it the same look and feel as traditional screen printing. Screen printed transfers use the same inks and processes/technology as do your traditional screen printers.

Screen print transfers are best used for items with 1-3 colors that use PMS colors.
